Sending and Receiving Messages
To send a message from your mobile phone:
- Check your buddy list by sending IM C to 58888.
You will receive a message similar to this:
- Send IM <buddy digit> <message> to 58888.
Send to 58888.
Replying to a Chikka message
To reply to a Chikka message on your mobile phone, simply send IM <message> and send to 58888.
Example:
Send to 58888.
Note:
If you send IM <message> to 58888, and the system detects that you have at least 2 buddies online, the system will send you a list of your online buddies via SMS. You will be requested to send your message following this format: IM <buddy digit> <message>.
Example:
Send to 58888.
Password Information
Create a text message. Key in IM P and send it to 58888.

Registering
Registering for a Chikka account using your mobile phone will cost you regular value-added service rates. In India, the value added service rate is as follows:
- For Aircel, Airtel, Vodafone, RIM, RTL, BPL, TTSL and Idea mobile subscribers, the rate is Rs 3.00 per SMS sent.
- For BSNL mobile subscribers, the rate is Rs 1.50 per SMS sent.
- For MTNL mobile subscribers, the rate is Rs 1.00 per SMS sent.

Applicable value-added service rates also apply whenever you send messages to the Chikka Messenger from your mobile phone.

Blocking and Unblocking
When someone adds you to his buddy list for the first time and sends you a message on your mobile phone, you can easily block the sender by replying to the text message with the keyword BLOCK.
Otherwise, create a text message and key in IM B <Chikka ID> then send it to 58888.
To unblock someone, create a text message and key in IM UB<Chikka ID> then send it to 58888.
